Our International Outreach team is constantly at work getting sermon manuscripts translated into as many languages as possible and put online for free access. As of today, we have 853 resources posted in 29 languages. It feels like a drop in the bucket, but we’re enthusiastic about steady progress. You may be surprised to know that 25% of the visits to our website come from outside of North America.
Recently we identified 52 key sermons from an array of topics in our Resource Library. The question we asked ourselves was, “If we could get only one sermon posted each week for a year, translated into a particular language, which ones would we do?” Another way to phrase it is, “If we were only able to provide 52 sermons to a particular language group, which ones would we deem essential?”
As we labored over this list, it occurred to me that it might be helpful to English-language readers as well. It could serve as an introductory guide to the content on the Desiring God website. We are therefore posting it with this in mind. I’m sure there are different ways that individuals or small groups could use this list. For starters you might consider studying one sermon each week of this New Year.
May the Lord use these sermons to open your eyes to behold wonderful things in his word!
