Bethlehem Baptist Church recently gathered to celebrate 140 years of her existence as a local assembly in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. John Piper brought a message from Isaiah 43:10–12 with a reminder for why Bethlehem (or any church) exists: we are God's witnesses.
We exist to testify of him — the one who has come in the flesh as Jesus Christ, who died for sinners and was raised triumphant over death, who lays absolute claim to every person and every molecule in Minneapolis and St. Paul and in all the world.
